Her latest achievement, however, is the one that has everyone talking. She is now the most Emmy-nominated Latina producer ever in the ‘Best Comedy Series’ category. Her popular show, ‘Only Murders in the Building,’ has earned more nominations, which also included one for Selena herself as Best Actress in a Comedy series, yay!  Over the moon with joy, she shared her excitement on Instagram with a tearful smiley face—because who wouldn’t cry happy tears over an Emmy nod? Amidst all this fame, she’s thinking of hitting the pause button on her busy life. This multi-talented superstar juggles music, acting, and her beauty brand, Rare Beauty, but it looks like she’s considering slowing down her music career.

On the latest episode of the SmartLess podcast, she spilled the beans: while she’s got one more album in her, her heart is really set on acting. She admitted she’s feeling worn out and could use a little R&R.

“I wanted to be an actress,” she said. “I never really intended on being a singer full time, but apparently that hobby turned into something else.” Looks like she is ready to swap the mic for a script—at least for a while. Acting is where her heart truly lies. Tune in here.

Selena Gomez’s ‘Emilia Pérez’—Just Thrills!

Selena recently starred in a crime thriller that’s sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. Her Netflix film, Emilia Pérez, is a musical crime drama that hit theaters on August 21st and will officially land up in Netflix on November 13th. 

 Gomez stars alongside a talented cast, including Karla Sofía Gascón, Adriana Paz, Édgar Ramírez (known for Point Break), and Mark Ivanir (Heart of Stone). While music might be taking a backseat, the proud third-generation American-Mexican” isn’t hitting the brakes on her other ventures. Her beauty brand, Rare Beauty, is blooming with exciting new products.

Of course, Selenators might be bummed out about the possible demise of their idol’s music career, but there’s still plenty to look forward to. She has got more acting projects lined up and some cool new stuff happening with Rare Beauty, so she isn’t going anywhere.
