Utah’s Wasatch Mountains are entering a new era of luxury winter travel, where world-class skiing, design-forward resorts, and fashion-forward alpine style converge across Deer Valley and Park City Resorts. From the new Deer Valley East Village to Park City’s slopeside Pendry hotel, the luxury ski scene is expanding. Here’s our curated guide to the destination’s most elevated experiences, including where to stay, play, and dine, and what to wear to look chic on and off the slopes.

Stay: Luxury Accommodations
Deer Valley is known for its five-star hotels that provide excellent service, fine dining, and ski-in/ski-out access. Located mid-mountain, the Stein Eriksen Lodge will exceed your expectations. The lodge’s namesake was a Norwegian Olympic gold-medal alpine skier and freestyle skiing pioneer—his medal is in a case in the lobby. The hotel has the look and feel of a warm and welcoming rustic European lodge. It features Utah’s only Forbes five-star spa and the largest wine collection in the state. Dine in one of the outdoor clear-domed Alpenglobes for a fun culinary experience. For an ultra-luxe stay, book a room with a balcony jacuzzi to unwind after a day of skiing.

Near the top of the mountain is the Montage Deer Valley with a sophisticated alpine vibe. It has the only bowling alley (two lanes) in Park City and a private tubing hill. For an elevated après, visit the Veuve Clicquot yurt for a glass of bubbly. Relax and recover at the 35,000-square-foot spa with a focus on skincare, massage therapy, fitness, and social connection.

At the base of the slopes is The St. Regis Deer Valley, with a funicular connecting the upper and lower resort buildings. Don’t miss the evening’s s’mores and champagne sabering ritual on the Mountain Terrace. Get pampered at the St. Regis Spa with treatments paying homage to Caroline Astor, New York City socialite and the mother of John Jocob Astor IV, who founded the St. Regis New York in 1904.
The recently opened Grand Hyatt Deer Valley is the first hotel in the new East Village and is the centerpiece of Deer Valley Resort’s expansion. This family- and pet-friendly four-star hotel is chic yet approachable and offers comfortable rooms with views of the Jordanelle Reservoir, an outdoor pool with fire pits, and High Chocolate—a sweet twist on High Tea. Next door, a Four Seasons resort is under construction—set to open in 2028.

At Park City Mountain Resort, the Pendry Park City—located at Canyons Village—is the newest hotel opening. It is Pendry’s first mountain resort and is located just steps away from the new high-speed Sunrise Gondola. Designed with a contemporary mountain flair, this five-star hotel is home to Park City’s only rooftop pool and restaurant. Guests can take advantage of the complimentary après gourmet s’mores bar and fire pits, listen to live music, or book an outing with one of the adventure guides at the on-property Compass Sports.
Play: Alpine Adventures
Ski rentals and lift tickets are available on property at most hotels and at the ski resorts, or you can rent gear through Skis on the Run, which will deliver directly to your hotel. Hotel ski valets offer “no touch” service. They will handle and store your equipment and help you get your boots on and off, making it easy to hit the slopes.
Deer Valley is a ski-only resort—snowboarders are not allowed. The resort limits the number of lift tickets sold daily to keep the crowds low, so reserve in advance through their website. The Ikon pass can also be used at Deer Valley.

This year, the new Deer Valley East Village expansion added 3,700 additional skiable acres— including 100 new runs and seven new chairlifts—making it a total of about 4,300 acres. Although it is at the lowest elevation on the mountain—about 6,530 feet—the 10-passenger East Village Express Gondola makes it quick and easy to reach higher elevations. Plus, the new high-tech snowmaking will help keep the lower runs open and accessible even when there’s less snow.
Park City Mountain Resort is open to both skiers and snowboarders and features terrain parks and halfpipes. It is the largest ski resort in the U.S. with 7,300 skiable acres. The Epic Pass can be used at Park City.
For a thrilling adventure off the slopes, head to Utah Olympic Park to try bobsledding. A professional pilot takes guests down the Olympic bobsledding track, reaching up to 65 miles per hour and four to five G-forces.

Those seeking a mellow, scenic outing can enjoy a 30-minute horse-drawn sleigh ride at Deer Valley, leaving from the Stein Erikson Lodge.
Dine: Posh Restaurants
The region’s elevated culinary scene brings luxury to every meal. For full-service dining on the mountain, go to Royal Street Café at Deer Valley and Lookout Cabin at Park City Mountain.
Hotels located at Deer Valley provide refined slope-side dining with elevated cuisine, impeccable service, and upscale ambiance. Glitretind at Stein Eriksen Lodge is an award-winning restaurant serving American cuisine made with fresh, local, and sustainable ingredients. The elegant Apex restaurant at Montage Deer Valley combines French cooking techniques with locally sourced ingredients to create a variety of flavorful dishes. At the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, Remington Hall serves rustic American meals and craft cocktails in a swanky environment that is the perfect place to end the day.

Sink your teeth into fresh sushi, wagyu steak, and popular Japanese fare at KITA at the Pendry Park City, or head next door to Dos Olas Cantina for delicious Mexican food in a casual, lively atmosphere. Don’t miss the viral Orange Bubble Bites served daily in Canyons Village starting at 3 p.m., until they run out. The complimentary après-ski snacks are donut holes covered in an orange-rosemary honey glaze.
A visit to the charming, historic town of Park City is a must. Throw on your cowboy hat and fur coat to stroll the shops, bars, and art galleries along Main Street. Stop at the No Name Saloon for a festive après atmosphere where you can have a drink in a retro gondola at the rooftop bar. Down the street, enjoy freshly made pasta and wood-fired pizza at LOMA.
Wear: Stylish Ski Apparel
Alpine fashion is at the intersection of ski culture and luxury style, with the ski slopes being the best runways to show off your designer skiwear. This season, look hot in pieces from the SKIMS x The North Face collaboration, especially the flattering, comfortable, and high-performance Off the Clock One Piece.
For a night on the town in style, overnight guests at the St. Regis Deer Valley can stop by The Saint Regis Spa’s gift shop, where a collab with Vivrelle allows guests to borrow pre-loved designer bags from brands such as Miu Miu, Gucci, Dior, Prada, and more.
And no outfit would be complete without the perfect bling. Gorjana at the Pendry Park City carries stunning diamond necklaces, bracelets, and earrings—both natural and lab-grown—to add a little to any outfit.
