Mango Pineapple and Cucumber Smoothie

A smoothie made with mango, cucumber, and pineapple? Sign us up. You can take it a step further by adding a handful of greens to it. We understand that getting these fruits all round the year can be tough since they’re seasonal fruits. However, if you happen to spot all the ingredients, blend them with a ladle full of yogurt (plain or Greek) for peak health fad.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup chopped cucumber
  • 1 handful of baby spinach
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, or milk
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup frozen mango chunks, or 1 ripe frozen banana

Direction:

Blend everything except the fruits till smooth. Then, drop in the mango and pineapple chunks and blend again. Pour and serve chilled.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 cup milk of choice, or to taste
  • ½ cup plain yogurt, Greek or homemade
  • 1-1½ cups blueberries
  • 1 very ripe banana
  • a dash of cinnamon, optional

Direction:

Blend the spinach with milk and yogurt. Then add the other ingredients and blend again. Pour in your favourite tumbler and sip away.

Creamy Cauliflower Banana Peach Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup frozen riced cauliflower, or 1 cup frozen cauliflower florets
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 2 cups sliced peaches
  • 1 frozen banana
  • Maple syrup or honey

Direction:

Start by blending the cauliflower along with milk and yogurt. Then gradually drop in the other ingredients, namely peaches, banana and honey. Keep blending till you’ve attained the desired consistency and viola!

As the name suggests, this smoothie has roots in the Mediterranean but that doesn’t mean you can’t make it up at home. Apart from the milk and banana, there are some swaps and switches in the ingredient list. From healthy spinach to beetroot juice, this one assembles all the heath fads to a glass in 5.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups baby spinach 
  • 1 teaspoon ginger root fresh, minced
  • 1 banana frozen, pre-sliced
  • 1 mango small
  • 1/2 cup beet juice or beet chunks
  • 1/2 cup skim milk or unsweetened almond milk
  • 6 ice cubes

Direction:

Blend the spinach, beet chunks, and ginger with milk first. Then toss in the rest of the ingredients and blend till smooth. Serve chilled.

  • 2 mint leaves fresh

Direction:

Dump everything in the blender and mix till it reaches your desired consistency. Serve in your favourite mason jar or tumbler.

Butternut Squash Smoothie

With Fall around the corner, you may want to get used to this one. If you’re someone who shies away from veggies or fruits, this wholesome, nourishing smoothie is a godsent. Butternut squash is loaded with vitamins, minerals, calcium, iron, phosphorus and copper. We also have mango and banana in the mix to make things better.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups milk of choice
  • 1 cup water
  • ¼ cup nut butter, (optional)
  • 1 cup cooked and mashed butternut squash, or 1½ cups cubed squash, lightly steamed
  • 1 cup frozen mango, or sub 1 frozen ripe banana
  • ½ teaspoon  cinnamon, or to taste
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries or raspberries or half and half
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds

Direction:

Just toss all everything on the list in the blender cup and turn the knob on. Blend till smooth and pour. Enjoy!
