Stravinsky’s Parfumerie: In Barcelona, the Club Where Cocktails and Perfumes Meet

A new surprise is stirring Barcelona’s mixology scene. The creative universe of Dr. Stravinsky expands with Stravinsky’s Parfumerie, an exclusive members’ club that transforms the cocktail bar into an immersive experience blending fragrance, history, and experimentation.

Located in the El Born neighborhood, next to the celebrated bar that opened in 2017, this new space represents a natural evolution of the project led by César Montilla. Dr. Stravinsky is now regarded as a true temple of artisanal cocktails: more than a simple bar, it is a laboratory where creativity and tradition converge. Since 2017, the team has not merely followed international mixology trends but has built its own language, ensuring that every drink tells a story.

Stravinsky’s Parfumerie is organized across three distinct yet interconnected spaces: a museum, a members-only bar area, and a Playroom dedicated to experimentation.

The journey begins in the Museum, an immersive space that introduces visitors to the enigmatic figure of Grigori Stravinsky, an imaginary alchemist and master perfumer who inspires the entire concept. Through period objects, fragrances, and interactive installations, the museum chronicles the travels and passions of this character, from St. Petersburg to Paris and through to contemporary Barcelona.

From there, guests enter the Club Bar, concealed behind an entrance in pure speakeasy style. The space is reserved for members and offers a cocktail list created exclusively for the Parfumerie: sixteen drinks that reinterpret the great classics through a sensory and olfactory lens. Each cocktail can be enhanced with edible fragrances, allowing guests to personalize their experience and transform their drink into a kind of “liquid perfume.”

The third space, The Playroom, slated to open in early 2026, will be a creative laboratory dedicated to workshops, masterclasses, and private experiences. With limited capacity and reservation-only access, this environment will allow guests to explore techniques, ingredients, and new approaches to mixology alongside the bar’s team.

“Each space has its own essence,” explains César Montilla. “The Playroom will be our place of experimentation, where the public can take part in the creative process. A little like stepping into the kitchen of a Michelin-starred restaurant, but entirely devoted to the world of cocktails.”

The new cocktail list reflects this narrative approach: sixteen drinks dedicated to sixteen historical figures who would have crossed paths with the mysterious Stravinsky. The menu’s design, inspired by vintage magazines, guides guests on an aesthetic and cultural journey through the character’s imaginary world.

Access to the Parfumerie is through membership, which is entirely free, by registering directly at the entrance. Members can access the various areas and take part in tastings, private events, and experiences created specifically for the community.

With this new opening, Dr. Stravinsky reinforces its place among the leading figures of international mixology. Stravinsky’s Parfumerie is not merely an extension of the bar, but a place where the cocktail becomes narrative, experience, and fragrance: a new creative chapter that once again confirms Barcelona as one of the most compelling capitals of contemporary drinking culture.
