This year’s Paris Fashion Week brought forth exciting designs and a moody vibe. Then came Chanel’s Fall/Winter 2024/25 show on June 25 2024, in Deauville, a lovely seaside town famed for its film festival and classy atmosphere. Serving as the perfect backdrop—Virginie Viard, Chanel’s creative director, nailed the playful vibe of Coco Chanel’s early days when she opened her boutique in Deauville. With oversized sun hats and light, breezy outfits, she created a delightful scene that whisked us back in time. With the nostalgia, it was hard not to smile as the models sashayed down the boardwalk runway. The collection was admirably fresh, youthful, and, dare we say, fun. Talk about paying homage.
Chanel’s Elegance on the Chanel Fall/Winter 2024/25 Boardwalk
Chanel’s collection was a stunning tribute to the Deauville boardwalk, where romance met style. The runway resembled a picturesque beach as models glided along. Each outfit told a story, reminiscent of the 1920s and 1970s glamour.
Coco Chanel loved the beach, and Virginie Viard channeled that love into every piece. It featured the classic tweed coats, chic skirt suits, and vibrant pastel colours that remind us of sunny days. Relaxed styles like jeans paired with cozy cardigans and jumpers adorned with charming bird prints were fresh as dew. The French fashion designer also added quirky touches, like a party dress with Chanel-branded ticket prints. Chanel has a passion that rivals fashion: Cinema. As Virginie knows well, experiencing a great collection is like watching an unforgettable movie—you’re left awestruck, absorbed.
While many designers nosedived into reality, it was nice to experience a touch of escapism with this collection- a beautiful ode to Chanel’s rich history and a confident nod to its bright future.

The show was a star-studded affair and JENNIE, the beloved Chanel ambassador stole the spotlight in a stunning little black dress from the Spring-Summer 2024 Haute Couture collection. Penélope Cruz looked stunning in a vibrant yellow cashmere outfit, that was topped with a sleek black leather jacket, offering a balance of grace meets sass. Stars, like Margaret Qualley and Naomi Campbell, graced the runway in outfits that echoed Chanel’s rich heritage.
Riley Keough and Vanessa Paradis also joined in and with so many famous faces, the show felt like a glamorous movie premiere. Chanel’s Fall/Winter 2024/25 collection was an enchanting escape, reminding us all that style and joy can go hand in hand.
