Giorgio Armani recently made waves in New York City – instead of his usual show at Milan Fashion Week, he hosted an incredible event at the Park Avenue Armory. The crowd was glamorous (including Orlando Bloom, Anna Wintour, Brooke Shields and more), the outfits were jaw-dropping, and there was a nice dose of nostalgia in the air. Plus, the designer just turned 90 and his brand hit the big 50—what a milestone.
Armani turned the Armory into a 1930s Jazz Club as guests arrived in stunning black-tie looks, sipping bubbly and chatting like old friends. Celebs like Pamela Anderson and Brie Larson were red-carpet-ready. The runway was super intimate, with models lingering after the show to let the moment sink in. The collection, themed “In Viaggio” (Italian for “On a Journey”), focused on travel. The show opened with porters walking down the runway with suitcases, setting a stylish tone for the event.
Armani gathered 650 fabulous people for a night to remember. The energy was lit, blending high fashion with cozy, nostalgic feels. The show began with stylish sportswear—featuring a lot of beige and greys. There were shiny suits for men and comfy jackets, blouses, and trousers for the ladies. Darker tones like blue, and brown made an appearance too, focusing on those cozy, travel-friendly fits. Each piece felt like a throwback, but of course, fresh and new.
Armani really hit the mark with this collection, blending runway glam with everyday wear. We’re talking chic trench coats and flowy dresses that you can totally slay anywhere. The boho energy was strong, with fringe and beads making every outfit a standout. The lineup was full of swingy embroidered dresses and soft tailoring, with a cutie, Bun as an accessory—and how the pup won over everyone. The collection had layers perfect for anyone on the go: caftans, wraps, and all the essentials.
Oversized bags and cute head scarves added to the mood, and for the grand finale, there were slinky, embellished dresses that would make you feel like a star. Giorgio Armani really knows how to blend dreaminess with real life, and this collection was case in point; which was followed by a fun after-party with Chaka Khan’s live set.Whoo!
