London’s celebrated cocktail culture is making its way to India this month, as The Oberoi’s Cirrus 9 in New Delhi and The Eau Bar in Mumbai welcome two leading names from Mayfair’s The Connaught Bar. Mixologists Giorgio Bargiani and Giorgio Iovine will bring their distinctive approach to the art of the cocktail to two evenings shaped by considered craftsmanship, inventive flavour and the rituals of exceptional hospitality.
Currently ranked the UK’s Best Bar and 10th on The World’s 50 Best Bars list, The Connaught Bar has built an international reputation for cocktails that balance tradition with contemporary expression. Among its leading talents is Bargiani, Assistant Director of Mixology and International Bartender of the Year in 2023, whose work draws on classic techniques while embracing unexpected flavour combinations and storytelling through the glass.
For the occasion, the duo will present a specially curated menu featuring some of the bar’s signature creations. Goodfellas, inspired by the 1990 Martin Scorsese film, reimagines the Fanciulli cocktail with fig, molasses and cherry, finished with balsamic vinegar for a mellow, tangy edge. The iconic Connaught Bar Martini pays homage to the enduring appeal of a classic. At the same time, Kindred Joy offers an elevated interpretation of the Paloma, conceived around the spirit of togetherness and hospitality.
The experience unfolds across two distinct settings. On October 31, Cirrus 9 at The Oberoi, New Delhi, sets the scene from its ninth-floor perch, with sweeping views of the Delhi Golf Course and Humayun’s Tomb. In Mumbai, on November 1, The Eau Bar brings the collaboration to the Arabian Sea waterfront, pairing the duo’s cocktail craft with the city’s coastal panorama.
More than a showcase of celebrated signatures, the collaboration brings together two hospitality traditions, united by an appreciation for detail, thoughtful service, and the power of a well-made drink to become a lasting memory.
