Hudson Club celebrated its grand opening on October 24 in New York City, welcoming the press and industry inside the upscale restaurant. Cocktails were flowing and hors d’oeuvres from Hudson Club’s signature menu were passed around. New York Mets star Harrison Bader and Real Housewives of New York City’s Ramona Singer attended the exclusive VIP event.
Located at 136 W. 55th Street, Hudson Club is the latest vision from established restaurateur and Hudson Street Hospitality founder Eytan Sugarman, who partnered with industry veterans Richie Romero, Shaun Rose and Matt Shendell.
Executive Chef John DeLucie curated the restaurant’s menu, which is a mix of classic and contemporary American cuisine with an extensive seafood menu. “At Hudson Club, we believe a little indulgence is a good thing. From our buttery Lobster Pasta to the perfectly seared Prime Steak, each dish is crafted to deliver an unforgettable experience. We draw inspiration from Old New York paired with a shared love of steak and seafood,” DeLucie said in a press release.
The midtown luxe restaurant and cocktail bar was designed to pay homage to old-time New York. Custom-designed with a “sexy yet sophisticated setting” in mind, the goal was to offer patrons an elegant and elevated experience. Interior designer Gregg Grossman, in connection with Legeard Studio, brought in beautiful leather booths and added deep wooden hues and a rich jewel-tone color palette.
Gregg, of Opus Interior, said in a press release, “We aimed to create an environment that is sophisticated, yet lends itself to a fun and vibrant dining experience, which will do justice to the fantastic food and cocktails we are putting forward. The materials we used at Hudson Club are comfortable yet polished, and make this a place you could go every evening, just as well as for a special occasion.”
Patrons will find a variety of classic cocktails, such as a Cosmopolitan and Manhattan, as well as new innovations, such as the club’s signature Yellow Pearl Martini and a Sage-infused Pear-apple cocktail.
Plus there is an extensive wine, champagne, beer and liquor selection. Reservations are now available on Resy. For more information, visit Hudson Club’s website.
