Here’s Why You Need To Stay At The Four Seasons Denver

Planning a trip to the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park? You may be flying into Denver. Known as the Mile High City, Denver is located exactly 5,280 feet above sea level, which is, you guessed it, one mile high. Besides the beautiful 140-mile stretch of mountains, with 200 visible mountain peaks from the state capitol building, life seems to go farther in Denver. Due to its rarified air, which is less dense due to less oxygen, golf balls travel 10% farther, alcoholic drinks pack more of a punch than they do at sea level, and the sun feels warmer. Located at a higher altitude, the Denver air is drier and you should hydrate, but on the flipside, the sky is bluer than at other spots in the country. If it sounds like you are down for it, you will need a place to stay and nothing gets better than the Four Seasons Denver. Book Here

The Rooms at the Four Seasons Denver

Surrounded by the majestic Rocky Mountains and nestled in the heart of the Theatre District, the Four Seasons Denver is a home away from home for locals and visitors alike. Located in downtown Denver, the Four Seasons Denver blends luxury and convenience for both relaxation and entertainment. Their luxurious suites feature grained wood, stone accents, and floor-to-ceiling windows, offering panoramic views of the Rockies.

Once you arrive at the hotel, check in with the front desk staff, who are the most welcoming. After giving you a boxed water, they will escort you to the elevator and instruct you on how to get to your room. We were lucky to experience the Premier Corner King Studio. Upon exiting the elevator bank at your designated floor, you will enter your king studio and be greeted by the most luxurious accommodations. Walk down your porcelain entryway as you stride past the full marble bathroom and the richly grained wood closets – there are three, so you will have plenty of space to store your entire wardrobe or any new finds you purchase during your stay in Denver.

Catch a glimpse of the king-size bed and the natural shabui stone accent wall while you stride past them both to set your sights on the Rocky Mountain views. Many rooms on higher floors offer skyline views, while Western-facing rooms only offer mountain views, which, let’s be real, that is what you want anyways.

Wrap-around floor-to-ceiling windows let the light shine throughout these corner studios, allowing you to enjoy views of the mountains or downtown Denver from both your king-size bed and the bathroom’s stand-alone deep soaking tub with stunning views of downtown Denver. Upon entering the Premier Corner King Suite, we discovered a handwritten note and a replica of the Four Seasons Denver building made entirely of edible chocolate. If you have a nighttime sweet tooth, then you will love taking a chocolatey bite out of this.

After a long day of travel, shimmy into a thick terry bathrobe and slip on a pair of house slippers. Sink into your king-size bed complete with down duvets and down pillows. Enjoy twice-daily housekeeping including evening turndown service. As you climb into bed, do not bother searching for outlets for all of your devices. Each bedside nightstand comes complete with an array of outlets for recharging cell phones and other mobile devices. Talk about convenience.

Note: One of our favorite features during the stay was the light-up sink bowls in the marble bathroom. Not only were there his and hers sinks, but there was a light switch that would light up the sink bowls so you could better see at night. Small, but noteworthy.

Bars and Dining at the Four Seasons Denver

If you are looking for a cocktail or refreshing mocktail, head down to EDGE Bar and Restaurant, conveniently connected to the Four Seasons Denver lobby, meaning you do not have to walk outside to get there. EDGE Bar offers handcrafted cocktails and mocktails, the finest spirits, vintage wines, and elevated bar bites.

We recommend the Moment of Clarity cocktail made with spiced pear-infused Tito’s vodka, St. Germain lemon, and topped with a dollop of fee foam. Yum! You can choose to keep it classy with a bottle or glass of Pinot Noir.  EDGE Bar has live music every Thursday and Friday for you to enjoy in this rich yet refined ambiance.

If you are interested in dinner, head over to the EDGE restaurant. Enjoy a memorable dining experience in this upscale atmosphere all while enjoying locally sourced seasonal ingredients and exceptional plates. For starters, I highly recommend the EDGE bread. Freshly baked in-house, this giant loaf of bread has a crunchy crust that is topped with a pinch of flavorful sea salt. It is accompanied by Hatch chili butter and confit garlic to smother on top of your piece of freshly sliced bread. You honestly could enjoy this bread loaf with a glass of wine and call it a meal, but once you take a peek at the dinner menu, you will surely want to order more. We recommend the Jumbo lump crab cake or a Classic Caesar salad. We do enjoy a good steak, and the 6 oz. filet mignon comes highly recommended. You may want to check out the rare Coulotte cut and the Sea Bass too. While dining at EDGE, we also tried the Crispy Fried Brussels Sprouts topped with a savoury yet sweet miso glaze and a sprinkle of crunchy sesame seeds. Also, the Truffle mac-n-cheese is gold.

Even if you are fully satisfied after dinner, there is always room for dessert and nothing could’ve prepared us for the restaurant’s signature dessert (we also did order the EDGE Chocolate Tart) that just so happens to be a fan favorite. It was also brought back to the menu by popular demand after a short stint away – yes, we’re talking about the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Made with organic turbinado sugar, this pudding is topped with a crunchy pecan crumble and a hefty scoop of Stranahan’s Whiskey Brickle ice cream.

PS: Room service is available if you feel like never leaving your room.

Things to Do at the Four Seasons Denver

Besides enjoying luxury accommodations and dining on the most delicious food and drink, the Four Seasons Denver also has a newly renovated spa, which offers a modern and relaxing ambiance inspired by Denver’s surrounding mountain scenery. There is also an onsite fitness center, an outdoor heated pool, and a whirlpool hot tub located on the rooftop terrace. Enjoy panoramic views of the city skyline while enjoying a refreshing cocktail or glass of wine. Following your swim or hot tub soak, dry off with one of the hotel’s plush heated towels. Don’t mind if we do!

During our time at the Four Seasons Denver, we accessed the rooftop terrace and hopped in the whirlpool hot tub on a crisp, cold winter’s night to enjoy some nighttime stargazing in that fresh Rocky Mountain air. The perfect way to end the night.

Exploring the Area Around the Four Seasons Denver

It is easy and effortless to enjoy the Mile High City’s vibrant culture and mountain views at Four Seasons Hotel Denver. If you feel like venturing out, there is plenty to do in or around downtown Denver.

Denver is home to a thriving arts and cultural scene, with world-class museums, unique art districts, public art, and much more. If art and culture are your scene, you are in the right place, but if music is more your beat, then you are in luck. On any given night, you will find local and national artists playing a vast array of genres at venues throughout the metro area. Sports fan?

Denver is home to six professional sports teams including baseball, basketball, football, and hockey. Denver also hosts one of the world’s largest rodeos, the National Western Stock Show & Rodeo, every January. Denver also just so happens to be a big beer city and hosts the Great American Beer Festival, the biggest beer celebration on the planet, according to Guinness World Records, offering more than 6,700 different beers for tasting.

If you simply want to get out and walk around to explore, Denver has a definitive, exciting, and walkable downtown. One of our favorite features was the 16th Street Mall, which is a mile-long pedestrian promenade lined with 200 trees that cuts through the center of downtown. Free electric shuttle buses travel up and down the mall, stopping at every corner. After 6 pm, the mall comes alive with horse-drawn carriages and pedicabs.

Getting There

Getting to the Four Seasons Denver has never been so simple. We flew into Denver International Airport (DEN) from Chicago (ORD) and had a nonstop flight. If you are an avid United flyer, you probably already know DEN is a United hub, so you should never fall short of finding available flights. Once you arrive at the Denver International Airport, you can easily order an Uber or you can hop on the Denver Airport Train. As you disembark at the last stop, Union Station, be sure to take some time to explore this historic spot, which is now filled with an array of boutique bars, tasty restaurants, and even a hotel. From Union Station, you can order an Uber to the Four Seasons Denver or you can walk while enjoying the crisp mountain air.
