High-Maintainance-Things-To-Stay-Low-Maintenance

It would seem that its cool to be a ‘high maintenance’ girlie to look ‘low maintenance’ in this time and age. TikTok made several women do that already – but, does it work? Not to be dramatic, but social media platforms like TikTok come in handy; as they are more of a lifesaver when it comes to beauty. Some people look effortless – perfect skin, bouncy hair, and groomed brows – a look that takes a while to perfect and that’s where BeautyTok comes into play. TikTok’s beauty contingent is all the craze now.

One such BeautyTok trend had women go berserk promising stress-free daily lives, which once completed, save time and is the key to doing the least every day. However, you have to keep a strict self-care schedule, weekly or monthly. It all started when women on TikTok started sharing their ‘high maintenance’ beauty routines which although cost more, helped them save extra hours daily from doing their hair and makeup at dawn. By using more money, some time, and a little effort they achieved that everyday ‘low maintenance’ look.

The trend called “High maintenance things to stay low maintenance” came to light when a TikTok user named Rahma Sheikh shared her beauty routine that made her feel “put together” by just putting “minimum efforts” on a day-to-day basis. Her monthly routine involved getting a deep extraction facial, a manicure, eyebrow lamination, and a blowout. While some women questioned the money, in truth these are the the monthly high-maintenance things that a lot of “IT” girlies do.

Women on TikTok are of the opinion that these ‘high maintenance’ services help them keep their overall skin and hair in check. Facial treatments, hair treatments, nail appointments, spas, and more such routine are like the “behind-the-scenes” self-care things. When done right, are the key to achieving a ‘low-maintenance’ daily beauty practice. This also results in spending much less on daily skin and hair care.

Let’s look at a few of the ‘high maintenance’ things that would make you ‘low maintenance’, eventually.
